i think you have just watched games that he happened to struggle in a couple plays. He had an off night for sure, but he is still one of the best in the game, i have been watching him for years, usually watching DEs look like little kids the way he pushes them around, may he get a little too much hype? perhaps, but he is definitely a great player

Maybe I just saw him at the wrong times. Madden called him the best O-Lineman in the game before tonight's game.

I will be honest, I watched the game at the bar, so I might of missed the finer points... but it seemed to me that the main protection issues that 'hawks had were against the the tackles... not the ends.
Jones might have gotten beat a few times, but I think it was in the second half... after the game was pretty much decided.

Every time I watch him, I wonder what is so special about him. He is one of the most overrated players in the league, IMO. I hope he remembered to pick his penis up off of Soldier field tonight.

the "best player in the nfl" (per nfl-fans voting) got burned for 2 sacks by a rookie. so much for that ****.
however started this thread is a ****ing retard. Walter Jones gave up 0 sacks one year and had 1 penalty, thats what makes him good. And last year he didn't give up any sacks minus the 2 Osi got against him who had 12 on the year. As for today it's very difficult to protect the QB when you can't run the ball and your QB makes dumb decisions.

Chicago's DL was amazing. I couldnt believe that 4th quarter sack. As soon as the ball was snapped one of the DL's, i want to say Scott but im not sure, #98, was right into the backfield and as Hasselbeck tried to escape, Brown came around Jones and got him down.
Amazing group of DL's they have.

THAT WAS TANK #99.

If I'm not mistaken Mark Anderson leads all rookies in sacks.
As for Jones, if I'm building my All-Pro team he is still my #LT right now.
I have seen the guy long enough to know he has skills.
You have to realize that he was getting a huge challenge from Alex Brown, then all
of a sudden here comes Anderson with fresh legs. What LT in the NFL can defend that.
