Yeah Alexander looked really well on Sunday. What were his stats again??? Oh yeah, 37 yards rushing, 0 TDs. Sounds like he's gonna help you guys out down the stretch. I think Hasselback will be just as bad for the rest of the season too. It sucks homie, face it you guys aren't runnin the west anymore.

Slow down a bit, and take a breath. While the 49ers are getting better, much better than most expected, they wont make the play-offs. At best they end up 8-8, which is HUGE, and sets them up nicely for next season. They are finally doing the right things with the cap and are signing young talent to long contracts GREAT move. But dont get ahead of yourself yet.
The 49ers WONT make the play-offs this season. Next season is another story perhaps. If the 49ers end anything higher than 8-8 Ill be the first one over here saying I'm sorry, and I couldnt have been more wrong if I tried. But I wont have to

I still think it will be tough for them to make the playoffs but it's definitely doable. Saying they WON'T is kind of ridiculous, especially considering there is really only one good team in the NFC.
Where in here did I say that? I said the Hawks are not the leader of the west anymore, its anyones, meaning SF seattle and st louis division. See how I left out the Cards?

Be that as it may, the 49ers are 5-5 right now. The only two VERY winnable games left are GB and Arizona. St. Louis is a toss up depending on which 49er D shows up and which Rams O shows up. But they also have 3 VERY tough games, all on the road. Seatle is going to be looking for revenge after being embarassed, New Orleans (never thought I would put them in the tough game cat.) is very hard to be in NO this year and Denver, which is also very hard to beat in Denver.
5-5 now. 2 games I will say they win, so 7-5. That leaves 4 games, all on the road, that are not going to be easy. I do think they CAN beat the rams, but beating Seatle, NO and Denver doesnt seem likely to me, so 8-8 is a much better possibility. And if you think both Dallas and Carolina are going to end 8-8, our badily mistaken. 10-6 for both of those teams is a better bet.
To be clear, I never said the 49ers cant make the play-offs, I just said they wont. Put your fan boy hat to the side, do you REALLY think they can win 5 out of their last 6?

Get this on KNBR, the 49er radio station. They had 2 callers, they were black. One said if the 49ers go 6 and 10, somebody can kiss his black *** and the other said he'd bring over ghetto spaghetti. I think the NFC West is too mediocre to have a convincing winner, and it's been like that for several years. NFC East has 2 contenders, AFC West has 3, NFC SOuth has 2 contenders I believe, but nothing happens for the NFC West since it was realigned. We miss out on REggie Bush, Michael Vick, and DelHomme each year.
I'm more then satisfied we got our one win against the Hawks for that proves they are not that great, and never have been. They're a paper champion that plays more crap teams then good ones.
See, Steeler fan, I'm the better more sensitive 49er fan then the other fans are. They are not into reality. When I remind them what the team needs, they get on my *** about it for no reason. SOme 49er fans are just the dumbest fans in America. I sure love the Best Damn Sports top 50 segment. Playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs. Be lucky to win another game. I miss that from Nolan.
But on the other hand, Steeler fan, I was hearing that in the NFC, an 8 and 8 can go to the playoffs so that's how mediocre it is. THere's going to be a lot of tie breakers.
Wouldn't it be sweet if the 49ers were rated no. 3 going to the playoffs and Seattle had to play us again as a no. 6?

You should talk to me instead of Steady or DHNF for they are just not into reality and won't see the fact as I have hammered out week after week. To me on the 49ers, we don't have the defense YET. We don't have a SEcondary, YET. We don't have LBs, YET. We're an injury away on Oline because we don't have the depth.
To me, we might win in St. Louis, but this is a road game and 49ers have bad habits on the road at times. Steady and DHNF don't want to see that. THey see it as easy street that we did it once and we can do it again. I say on the road, we beat St. Louis, tossup in Seattle, if Denver clinches the playoff, I don't see why we can't win at Denver. THere's also New Orleans I believe we have to play so that could be a tossup as well. I think 7 and 9 or 9 and 7 as I thought earlier in the season. As for playoffs, if we make it, we get no. 20 in the draft and that's going to be bad. We need to be in the top 10 or 15 to get good quality players that are going fast the more we win. Steeler fan, is it best to maybe lose and try to keep building the 49ers, or win and take a risk of getting no. 20 in the draft and lose out on a lot of good players? Somebody was saying to me on another board that if we win, we get more FAs that might come to us. Is that possible?

I don't think they need to win 5 out of 6. Just 4. No I don't think they probably will. I just think saying they absolutely won't is pre-mature.
If they lose to the Rams then yeah the talk is over.
BTW the Broncos game is week 17. If the Broncos have a bye or the division wrapped up they may be resting a bunch of starters.
We need another good draft pick for 2007 like we had for 2006 in netting 2 first round selections. THen we need some FAs. Until then, it's the same old 49ers. We did beat the Hawks as I wanted to, but getting blown out in other games is inexcusable. Let's hope that this is not the dumbest team in America this Sunday. Oh I'm sorry, that's Mike Holmgren when he yells at the team.
49ers need more FAs, I don't see that happening if we don't have the money.
