Not really, the Eagles problem from the beginning wasn't so much T.O. as it was McNabb and the hernias. Comparing a guy like T.O. to Alexander in the fact that they want more money is about the only way you can compare them. Alexander is in no way the distraction T.O. is when he wants money....T.O. goes out and causes distractions..tellin coaches not to talk to him, interviews etc......Alexander wanted more money..... then won MVP and set records. The Eagles also last year had I believe 6 pro-bowlers on IR and T.O. suspended, that's just too much to overcome.
Also, Seattle already has a nice steady D and I still can't believe I would read that a Seattle fan would want Alexander gone James and Alexander are going to go for the same amount of money, maybe more depending on who signs last and you already know what you have in Alexander..why change that?
First of all, I was talking about the Eagles from 2 years ago when they lost the Super Bowl, but made it thru the playoffs without TO. And secondly, I have already stated that we can't afford SA. I agree that James would also be costly, so Davis right now seems like a good RB to try to trade for.

Yeah they made it through the playoffs with out T.O. but it was him that allowed the rest of the team to not play a meaningful game from about week 14 that year until their first round game.
And you think Davis a guy who's been hurt as much as he has will be as effective as Alexander? While I like Davis he in no way gives you half of what Alexander does.
Did you read post #55? It's clearly going to be too costly to sign SA for us. We first need to resign our other free agents. I would much rather see us resign everyone but SA, rather than resgin SA and leave some holes elsewhere.
I agree with Jayhawk, this is one of those things that you want but can't get. Yet the marking of a great team, is one in which another player steps in order to take the spot of a player who is injured or as in this case, released, and does an adequate job. That player still needs to be decided, as Morris is also a free agent.
The Hawks haven't signed anyone, but today we will find out who they decide to franchise. It will either be Bernard or Hutchitson, since they promised not to franchise SA this year.

Of course I read it but that's all IF no one else at this time is cut and ONLY that. There will be cuts as there always is...there will be restructuring as there always is...this is what will free up the money for him, Bernard, Jeurivicious, etc.
They promised to not FT SA, but NFL teams don't always tell the truth
