Well the Seahawks decided to transition tag Hutchitson. I think it's a horrible call since some teams like Arizona can offer him 10 million and we have to match. But it's probably in order to help them sign SA.

i agree and they need to sign SA or get a trade done

Yet it could have also been a smart move since they're probably close to a deal with him and don't want to risk losing him. I hope they franchise Bernard, since that will lock both players up and leave SA as their only big problem left.
They promised to not FT SA, but NFL teams don't always tell the truth
They don't, but I believe he had this in his contract that they couldn't. That's actually a pretty classy thing to do IMO from Seattle.

That's a good move and they needed to keep him in fold as good as he is and that left side is still intact, which is a major plus if they can't keep SA.

They can only franchise one guy right? Bernard is not worth that much $$ IMO he played on a stellar line and I think he can be replaced easier then you think.
Stupid move by the Seahawks, you don't give a guy you know wants a s*** load money a garentue not to Fanchise

I think it was the right thing to do though, especially if they're optimistic they would bring him back. Also it sends a message to other players that they are willing to do that and that's good IMO.
It was a good move, because if they kept franchising SA, he would get mad and begin to hold out saying that he wants either a long contract or a trade to a team that will give him a long deal.
i know he's talented, but all i'm saying he that he's no Will Sheilds, it wouldn't be overly hard for him to be replaced

It seems that evry year someone says that about one of their star players, and then next year it turns out that they should have kept that player! If it's not broken - don't fix it. They have 2 great players in Hutchitson and Bernard that they have to keep. Losing them could cost the Hawks their season next year.
