I think Sims played pretty decent, especially for a 4th round rookie. I think our ideal scenario is sign a LG in FA, Gray returns to play RG for a year while Sims learns behind him

He did great, considering the state of the line this year, and the fact that he's a rookie. I think he'll be a starter for us once he gets some more experience.
yep we sure have had some sustained success, but I think most players will tell you that a super bowl ring is what its really all about, being in the playoffs every year is nice, but only does so much. Certainly is something to be said for the stability in our coaching staff and core players.
I agree, but its not a huge window. Our core is aging, Most of them will be highly productive for 2-3 more years, except for alexander, i dont have alot of faith that he returns to pro bowl form, i think he will be solid, but not lights out like 05
fantastic news, gives us another year to find his replacement, and gives us a blocking back for both the pass and run game. This is great news for the run game especially

Nighthawk2: Last I knew, Grant Wistrom was scheduled to count $5.83M against the salary cap in 2007. Cutting him would save $3.5M in base salary, but the team would still be on the hook for three years of proration at $2.33M per year. That means the team is on the hook for about $7M in cap charges even if Wistrom never plays another down. If Tom Condon has a resume, that deal should be on the first page. For the record, Wistrom remains the projected starter at RDE. The team will attempt to upgrade the DL this offseason, prez Tim Ruskell said. Wistrom played well in the playoffs, by all accounts (including Ruskell's account), but the team could use another good DE to keep Fisher and Wistrom fresh all season. [/b]
