Hopefully Minnesota throws some money at him too. With Eramus James having his knee checked yet again and Kenechi Udeze having an allergic reaction if he gets close to a QB, we really need some DE help.

Sad, but true.

Didn't Kerney play from a 2 point a lot in 05? I seem to remember him being able to have that versatility.

If so he could be considered a DE/OLB tweener for teams like the Pats, Niners, Jets, Browns and who are all killing each other for the services of Adalius Thomas.

I've actually met the guy once at a house party of my buddy who played Lacrosse with him at Virginia. For what its worth he's a great dude thats totally chill. Unlike what you'd expect from a pro bowl type player the guy got plowed on Budweiser cans, I was pretty hammered but I think I remember him doing at least a handful of shotguns. Granted this was about 5 years ago...but still.

Kerney doesnt seem all that athletic to me, I dont think Kerney was the one youre thinking of.

Why doesb't Kerney Seem atheltic to you? If there were such a thing as a falcons fan, we'd probably get some clarification but I seem to remember Kerney moving around a lot kind of like John Abraham.

Gobears81, you have no idea.... I am so cool sometimes I wish the salvation Army bell ringers had mojo buckets instead of change recepticles so I could share the wealth with my fellow man.

The only time Kerney moved around was when we had the 3-4 and he was moved from 4-3 DE to 3-4 DE and then back to 4-3 DE when Mora came in.

See...there you go. I knew I remembered him playing a 3-4 OLB at one point. I wonder if the 3-4 teams consider him for the position since so many need help there.
