'HAWKS LINE UP TWO VISITS

Mike Sando of the Tacoma News-Tribune reports that the Seattle Seahawks already have lined up visits with defensive end Patrick Kerney and offensive lineman Kris Dielman.

Dielman is due to arrive on Friday, and Kerney will visit on Saturday. [/b]

Great news, I havent though too much about Kerney (would we cut wistrom?), but I love dielman. Lets get this done

CBS Sportsline is reporting that Dielman has a deal in place with an unnamed team, it includes a $12M signing bonus. Seattle is his first visit so it makes sense that Seattle is that team. Adam Kaplan is reporting that
Quote:
scout.com has learned that sources close to the situation say they do not expect free agent OL Kris Dielman, who is presently touring the Seattle Seahawks practice facility, to leave Seattle without signing a contract. It's believed Dielman will be looking to sign for about what G Steve Hutchinson signed for last year.

If for some reason he leaves Seattle without a contract, the Cleveland Browns would be very in the mix.

Although published reports indicate that the San Diego Chargers were hopeful of re-signing Dielman during the regular season, sources say both sides weren't close to an agreement.

Its looking like Dielman will be a Seahawk!!!!!

Of course this is all rumors, but signs are very good

If we go and pay Kerney now Ill be pissed, just cause we lost out on Dielman doesnt mean we need to waste money on an aging DE. Kerney voided his contract to get paid (i dont blame him) but I hope we arent the ones that do it. Wistrom, Fisher, and Tapp are fine, with JP playing DE in pass rush situations. Id rather use our money to lock up people long term like locklear, hackett, tatupu, and hill
