From what I've read he'd be pretty cheap....

He returned the $2.5 million bonus, so that's off the books and gone. If he played here this season, it would be for the $710,000 minimum for a player with his experience. The original deal called for him to make $660,000 in 2004 and $1 million in 2005, so ostensibly those would carry over. (The minimum went up 50 grand in the last two years with the new CBA, hence the raise.)
He'd cost not much to keep, and if I'm understanding this correctly, nothing to cut.
If the shoulders check out, he's probably worth a shot, as he's got more experience than the rest of their backups combined.
A veteren OT as a backup? Shoot thats a need IMO. Butler is no where near ready IMO. I'd give him a shot at those prices.
