The extras on MNF alone made it a great football night. The game was emotional and surprizing. Nice way to reopen the Supa dupa Dome!

I'd like to know who the **** told the ESPN crew to overdo the whole Katrina background so much to the point I actually felt like I was watching CNN in August/September 2005. Was anybody aware that there was actually a football game on between all those news stories last night? Not that Katrina and the Saints' return to the city wasn't a big deal, but come on now. ESPN was stretching it.

I agree, although you should have known that that would be the case. Not to take away from New Orleans and not trying to be callous, I still have the people in my thoughts.

Well it was a big deal and can you imagine if your team and city had been displaced by a disaster and it was threatened that the Bears where never coming back to Chi-Town???? I can feel for those people and the fans of the Saints, the Falcons are my childhood team and I cant stand for them to get stomped on but to the Saints

Focus on stopping the run and make Vick beat you with his arm and his head?

BRILLIANT!

excellence of execution

And Vick looked horrible trying to pass the ball in the 2nd half. There is no way the Falcons are ever going to win a SB with this rediculous offense. The sooner they change their O the better IMO. Vick is looking like a dead end.

You're misunderstanding what I'm trying to say. I'm not saying that the hype was unwarranted... I loved to see all the positive energy, I liked the interview with Gov. Blanco, etc. But after 2, 3 hours I couldn't take it anymore. It's all they were talking about, to the point where it seemed insincere and like they were reaching because they wanted to create drama. They didn't need to create a thing... it was already there. The bad drama has been with the city of New Orleans unfortunately for over a year and it's not going away anytime soon. We knew that before the game. But the positive energy came naturally... you can't force that kind of thing to happen. That's what made the game so special. But the oversaturation from the ESPN crew almost ruined that. Fortunately, you almost can't ruin something like that. But ESPN gave it their best shot.

For real. That punt block on the first drive gave me tears.
