Ramblings: Holt vs. Holt: NFL brothers go head-to-head for the fourth time
Rams wide receiver Isaac Bruce has been ruled as out for the Rams’ game against the Cardinals due to a hamstring injury.
That means Drew Bennett will start at wide receiver. Bennett, signed to six-year, $30 million contract this winter, has caught only six passes for 62 yards this season.
With Dane Looker also sidelined due to a severe thigh bruise, Dante Hall will be a bigger part of the offense.
“He’ll play more than he normally would,’’ Rams coach Scott Linehan said of Hall, whose primary duty with the Rams is kick return specialist.
Wide receiver Marques Hagans likely will see his first NFL regular-season action.
“It’s an exciting week for him,’’ Linehan said. “Think back to the preseason, he was a real bright spot for us.’’
Hagans was the Rams’ leading receiver in the preseason with 13 catches for 166 yards and three touchdowns.
