Jackson Ready to Go, Little Likely Done For Year
Quote:
Steven Jackson (groin, back) missed Rams practice Monday, but coach Scott Linehan says he expects Jackson to play in Week 10 at New Orleans.
St. Louis is coming back from a bye week, so there would be no reason to push Jackson through a Monday workout. "Steven looks good," Linehan said. "He feels a lot better. Having some time off and being able to calm that down a little bit was real good for him. He did some conditioning today, and we’ll start him back in with some light work on Wednesday." Rams DE Leonard Little is likely lost for the season with a toe injury.
Little visited foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson, who revealed the news during St. Louis' bye week. He'll need surgery, and will probably get it out of the way sooner than later. The procedure will cost him four months of rehab. Little, like most other Rams players, was in the midst of a major down season. Getting sophomore end Victor Adeyanju more playing time and Little a headstart on his recovery sounds like the best move for 0-8 St. Louis. Nov. 5 - 3:56 pm et
