Default Hello from San Jose, California

Hi guys

Yes, i am from the bayarea and the 49ers lost again today.
Again. I was just watching the news and they were talking about how the 49ers were going to be lucky and possibly get the #1 pick. Wow. This is football. #1's don't turn teams around. Just goes to show you how far the team has fallen when they look for getting the #1 pick as the best news.

Anyways, I am looking forward to the playoffs and hope the the Patriots do it again.

Hey Tim!

Welcome! Any reason why you want to see the Patriots repeat?

Tom

SF gave Jacksonville all they could handle this past weekend...When they won their first game this season I thought they were finally turning that organization around...Guess not. If I were SF, I would trade the #1 pick for another team's 1st and 2nd pick. You are right, they need to improve in many areas, not just 1.

Hi Tom, I just like Tom Brady as he is a local boy and has some class. Usually if it isn't my teams I like to see it spread around to some city that hasn't had a championship in a while but I do like Tom and the coach.

However, I must admit, after what happened recently with the Indy's coach's son I may be pulling for them. That is tragic and I have known two people in the last year or so who committed suicide and it is devestating for the family and friends. Tony seems like a good man also. Really sad.

Haha. Hi Manster. Thanks for the welcome. I don't think I am a real pats fan, I just know my teams aren't going to win so why not them? I wouldn't mind seeing several other teams go all the way also.

I thought after the first game it was going to be a good season also.

I think with football the general manager is more important than in any other sport. With 40 guys and 22 starters you need to have a great judgment of talent and a #1 draft choice is great but it also usually means the team has many problems. In basketball with only 5 starters and 12 total players a #1 can instantly turn around an organization. The good thing though is that in football you can turn around a whole organization very quickly these days with a good general manager. I hate keep hearing about rebuilding year after year. It shouldn't take 10 years. haha.
