If you think someone posted a good thought or made a good point they can give you reputation points.

Its a form of forum Hierachy to set apart the veterans with good and worthwhile posts from torlls and such.

Though the fact you can rep anyone for anything (and you can only do it once) makes the whole system kinda trivial. I dont pay much attention to it most of the time.

How often can you give out rep points? Just once in your life time on the forum or once a week??

it works somewhat like this: if you rep K-train, you have to rep like 10 other posters before you can rep him again.
