I "mod" for a truck forum and the spam there has been getting out of hand just as of late though, we pretty much ban them on the spot. Unless they are established members which I've never run into. It has really been hard to keep up with it all lately. Also most of the spam that we get is usually some sort of phishing. Trying to get naive people to send them their account info. Its pretty crazy to me how many people don't know any better!!!
We just have to make sure we browse every corner of the forum, and edit as we find them. Send PM's to the mods that oversee those particular forums. All we can do is try our best. Spamming is going to happen. Especially if the ADMINS are advertising.
How effective is the "Report Bad Post" option? Does it come any handy for you mods? Should I try and use that more often?
Yes, if you report bad post...the MODS of that particular forum get a private message. Also, I get an email, not sure if everyone does. Even if I'm on the computer, and not on FBF, I'll know when you report bad post.

It is very effective I would suggest using it also if you notice something just see which mods are online and shoot them a PM. With that they can post in the Mods forums and get this thing out of here, of course if you see Me, Ellis, Mickey or Trueblue here send us a PM and we'll get rid of it.

Some usefull info here ABF. I never look at that ship anyway. I've PMd Ellis a few times about spam but he's not always on. But I'll try and help you mods when I see that crap.
