West grad thrives on challenges on way to football scholarship
Garrett Andrews’ life is about big goals, and then proving himself worthy of the challenges he meets along the way.
Football has always been a perfect fit, from his start as an offensive lineman who wanted to be a wide receiver, to a San Joaquin Delta College standout who set his sights on the NCAA’s top division.
On Wednesday, the 2006 West High graduate signed a letter of intent with Middle Tennessee State from the NCAA’s Division I Sun Belt Conference, and next year will play for the Blue Raiders on a full athletic scholarship.
