TAMPA - The biography the Bucs are putting together for their 2007 media guide says new secondary coach Raheem Morris earned his bachelor's degree from Hofstra University.
Morris says he earned his bachelor's degree while attending "Harvard" and that he's back there now looking to earn his master's degree.
Confused? Don't be. The "Harvard" Morris speaks of is not that renowned school of learning in Cambridge, Mass. It's a Tampa-based school of defensive football whose dean of students is coordinator Monte Kiffin.
From Herm Edwards to Joe Barry, Kiffin has cranked out a string of top-level coaches. Morris may be the next to graduate with honors. For now, though, he is focused on improving a Bucs secondary that struggled in 2006.
"I'm excited to be back, but I've got to get this [secondary] right and I've got to get it right fast," said Morris, who already has laid out the basics of a lesson plan for the '07 season.
