No he got drafted bu Buffalo. He's another guy I would pass on. He got franchised last year so I believe that was 6.6/7Mil he made, and he will probobly want more than that. I live near Buffalo, and watch alot of their games, and he is not worth that. A good corner yes, and he plays the Tampa 2 in Buffalo (tho its still in its infancy) I would say he is mabey a top 20 corner.he's not even considered the best corner on the Bills, Terrence Mcgee is. I think as far as FA's go, Nick Harper is a better option, plus he will be cheaper because the Colts probobly wont be able to bid on him (they are in the red). Clements is a good player, and would fit in well with TB, but the $$$ thing is big. He's got FA Day 1 Redskins signing written all over him (you know they will find a way)

According to his bio on the official site, he made the Pro Bowl in 2004. Link

He has struggled in coverage the last two years. It's not so much that he forgot how to play as it was a mix of injuries to the starting CBs (putting more coverage responsibility on the safeties) and lackluster pass rush from the front four (leading to more QB time in the pocket and more time on an island covering WRs).

He's a good SS. He's much better against the run than the pass, but he isn't terrible against the pass.

Lynch was a great player for the Bucs, but the Bucs clearly have to think about rebuilding. They aren't one or two players away from serious contention and, if they were, it certainly isn't one strong safety away from a Super Bowl.

I agree with evrything you have said...but we have learned the hard way just exactly how valuable the safety position is to our defense. Is it a coincidence that the last 2 times we were ranked #1, Dexter Jackson manned the middle for us? Then the following year when he was allowed to leave via FA, the defense and the team as a whole went in the tank?

the saftey position is very valuable to any cover 2 defense, look at the Colts when they got back Bob Sanders. look at the difference, the Bears lost Mike Brown and that D wasnt the same. very underrated position on this defense. trust me i watch alot of Buc football to know this one, when they have had a decent cover guy they have been tough but without one, awful. its doesnt help at all that the front 4 isnt generating any kind of pressure.

That's the biggest problem right there.

Werent they leading the league in sacks this year for a while. I know they blitz alot, so its not all coming from the front 4, but they get good pressure.

As soon as Kearse went down, the pressure from the front four dropped off the map.
