Many Buccs fans have been concerned that Ronde Barber could be a camp hold out. Barber while not getting much respect around the NFL is one of the better corners in the NFL, and is a master of Tampa's cover 2 scheme. By NFL standards, he isn't underpaid. By what he means to the Buccaneer defense he is vastly underpaid. He is in the final year of his contract, and many have wondered if he would be looking for some re assurance from the team.

Our sources in Tampa tell us CB Ronde Barber is avoiding the Buccaneers' off-the-field functions while his agent negotiates a contract extension with GM Bruce Allen. Barber, who is entering the final year of his contract, is still participating in all of the Buccaneers' offseason workouts, and we hear he has repeatedly indicated that he won't be a training-camp holdout.
