Default Ladies and Gentlemen....

....we have an offensive line. All they are going to do is get better. The maturation process is fun to watch, especially after games like the Rams game today. Joseph and Sears are well on their way to establishing themselves, but Trueblood has been under scrutiny and his talent has been in question. He jumped leaps and bounds today with a game MVP type performance. His pass blocking was above average today, and his run blocking was off the charts.

Davin was his usual self, just blowing up defensive linemen, and de-cleating linebackers. When I see Joseph pulling around the end, I cringe in fear for the poor defender that is about to be crushed. One of the biggest things I love about Joseph, is he is always looking for someone to hit. He'll hit anyone within striking distance until the whistle blows. I love when there is a pile of tacklers gang tackling our guys, and there is always some unsuspecting defender hanging around watching his teammates try to bring down the ball carrier when all of a sudden he's just bashed into oblivion.

Continued...

The offensive line is much improved, but the guy I see that made the biggest improvement from last year to this year is Wade. He was a big problem last season in not moving his man or simply missing the call on assignments. It doesn't hurt that Luke Petitgout is just awesome... I think the announcer said it best when he said the Bucs haven't had LT play like that since Paul Gruber.

I wouldn't say our O-Line is turned around just yet. They are wayyyyy to inconsistant in the running game and Garcia has gotten himself out of a couple sacks the past couple games. Now we've known last year that running behind Joseph and Trueblood is great and that it was on Sunday against the Rams but I definatly recall running it left and it going nowwhere and less. I havent really been studying Sears but I've heard a lot of good things about him so I'm questioning why we are having trouble running behind him.

I know I said I dont think our line has turned around jsut yet but given a couple more games and play consistantly like they played against the rams for a couple more games I will be more than happy to agree on our line.

Earnest Graham deserves some more carries, he looked like a beast when he got in the game, although he has always had a bad case of fumblitis.
