I'm 100% sure he had to retire a Cowboy, but I don't think it was SB week though and Emmitt isn't a glory hound either...

were saying how he had to take the spotlight away

He retired during the week of the superbowl that the eagles were in. Did you even read the excerpt. It is fact. He retired in jacksonville. That is glory hound enough for me.

i think he did retire with the Cowboys, but i will always remember him leaving them at the end of his career and then signing back on just so he can retire. To me he retired with the Cards.
