Locker was rushed into a starting position, IMHO. He was never expected to start this early... He was a talent that needed to grow under a vet QB (Hass) and eventually take the reins and fly... Take Aaron Rodgers, I honestly don't think he'd be who he is now had he not had time to grow and learn the game at the pro level... The same could have been said of a lot of the younger "flops". I think Matt Leinart could have done some good if given the time, and to this day I think that David Carr's career was over in Houston before it even started, pretty much ruining his career...
The best time to draft a QB is three-four years before you have to... Get a young one and go from there... Mark my words, Colt McCoy will be back and better then ever second time around, now that he's had time to sit for a while and learn what's going on. Weeden is going to take the heat off of him and give his a chance to learn.
