Freak accident to keep Waddell out 4-6 months

Titans cornerback Michael Waddell is expected to be sidelined four to six months after rupturing his right patella tendon during what he called a freak accident at home.
Waddell, who was a key special- teams player last season, is rehabbing from surgery and is likely to miss the start of the regular season.
He said the injury occurred while he was playing with his 2-year-old son.
"It was just a freak accident,'' Waddell said Monday. "We were just running around and I slipped. I don't know how it happened, but it happened.
"I think I am a little ahead of schedule as far as the rehab process goes, but it is going to be a while. I think I'll miss a couple of games. Worst-case scenario, maybe I'll be back the fourth game. But it is hard to tell.''
The Titans open the season Sept. 10 against the Jets.
Waddell's injury is a blow at cornerback, where the Titans have little depth. Returning starters Pacman Jones and Reynaldo Hill were rookies last season. Veterans Andre Woolfolk and Rich Gardner are in the mix, and the Titans drafted Samford's Cortland Fin negan in the sixth round Sunday.
The agent for veteran cornerback Ty Law has said his client is interested in joining the Titans, but right now they can't afford him.
In another development involving the secondary, restricted free agent safety Donnie Nickey has signed his one-year tender offer from the Titans.
This is all I could find, nothing on Brandon Jones though
