Default Dillon to Visit Titans

Total Titans | MVN - Most Valuable Network » Blog Archive » Dillon to Visit Titans

excerpt:

Adam Caplan is reporting free agent Corey Dillon will visit the Titans, his first official visit to any team.

Somehow, this makes a little more sense to me than the reports of Chargers restricted free agent RB Michael Turner coming to Tennessee. San Diego has tendered Turner at the first- and third-round level and I imagine they will match any reasonable offer made to him. I just don’t see Mike Reinfeldt offering much money to Turner, let alone giving up the picks. He hasn’t offered much to anyone else yet, especially the Titans’ own Travis Henry.

I doubt if Reinfeldt will offer Dillon more than a one-year deal. He’ll turn 33 years old this fall, ancient for a running back. Dillon has over 11,000 yards rushing in his 11-year career, so he’s got a lot of mileage and wear and tear on him. But if Reinfeldt can get him for a year, I’d like to have him.

I would definetly rather have Turner, but the asking price is more. With Dillion he could help White because they are very similar in running styles.

White has to learn how to lay off the twinkies, LOL. Dillon would be help as a mentor, but so would eddie george, LOL. Lendale has the potential to be so good in this league, but I think he'll be more like Jerome Bettis when all is said and done.

Yeh I dont see White being all that great as a full time starter. Thats where I think Turner would be a great fit because their contrasting running styles would be hard for the opposing defense.

It's too bad too, because if he were to find some will and actually get in shape and stay in shape, he could be awesome. As much as I refuse to admit it, it really seems like teams are going to that two back sets. The price seems to be too high for Turner.

Yeh thats what I am saying about Turner. Since we know that White will probably never be a full time starter because of his shape/worth ethic, plus he never was in college. Hopefully Dillion will be able to be a mentor for him.
