The D-line is important but what makes a 3-4 work is a solid LB corps and I dont think the Titans are deep and skilled enough at LB. I think a 5-3 or 5-2 suits them better.

you must have big Dlinemen for a 3-4 and they do
they have good OLB's

i think Hope is underrated
they have bad corners

but yes i would pick a 3-4 over a 4-3 in their situation

the LBs arent exactly Bruschi,Vrabel,Mcginnest and so on like I said deep and skilled. Vanenbosch gives them some pass rush and they have enough size that a 5-3 would suit them well. Pacman should man up with help opposite and that would leave linebacker zone coverage over the middle. I see good pass rush potential to help the DBs with their players out of a 5-3. If a line backer in the 3-4 makes the wrong read that defense folds quick and can give up some big plays.

Once again, as I stated earlier the Titans are very weak at MLB and have already had to convert former OLB Peter Sirmon to the middle position. In order to run the 3-4 Terna Nande would have to play the other MLB and that would mean we wouldnt have a natural MLB playing that position.

i would have to agree here, the main problem will be the secondary

what is the Titans situation that would make them be a better 3-4 team? or good lord a 5-2 team (who runs a 5-2 base defense in the NFL...freaking no one.. thats one of the stupidest thing I have ever heard.)

The Titans are thin at LB....deep on the DL. They have a freaking former LSU QB at back-up LBer.

Their LBers are too small to run a 3-4 anyway.

The buffalo bills ran alot of 5-2 untill spikes went down and they did it pretty well. You use it on teams that run alot. If you have solid linemen(which they do) you can use 5-3 to bring alot of rush. You pressure the QB to help your DBs and the Titans are soft at DB but better than last year. If they use a 3-4 I gaurantee you they will get picked to pieces in that division.
