NASHVILLE, TN, Aug. 3, 2006 -- This offseason, the Tennessee Titans searched the free agent market for a veteran center to aid in the running attack and provide leadership for a young group of offensive lineman. Who they found was Kevin Mawae, a veteran entering his 13th season and a six-time Pro Bowl selection. Signed in March, the offensive lineman has quickly become a guiding presence on the field and in the locker room for both his position group and the rest of the team.

That is something the Titans need on the offensive line, let alone the offense as a whole. With the loss of Hopkins, I am glad they brought in a guy like Mawae that can vill that kind of role.

Yeh I read in the paper, that he was glad he wasnt still with New York, because he likes it here in Nashville. You guys should have a good one in Mangold though.

I am surprised he sayed such a thing, he was probably the best center in the league while being with New York, and he spent most of his career over there.
