Donnie Nickey is a freakin idiot.

The guy plays hard and he's a good hitter, but he needs to save that for the REGULAR SEASON, and NOT against his own teammates during training camp. The hit he put on Roby was real dirty, and there's no need for that. Nickey can be a very dirty player, but it especially makes me mad when he puts these questionable hits on his own teammates, and he did it last year as well when he got into a scrum with RB LenDale White. You don't grab Roby around the neck in this situation and bring him down! Roby could have a serious neck injury from that. All Nickey had to do was put a light hit on him (at the most), or even just push him out of bounds.

C'mon, this is training camp. There's no need for scumbags like Donnie Nickey pulling this ****.

Also, everyone is quick to point the finger at Vince Young, being as though he threw a punch with his right hand (his throwing hand), but it's not Young's fault. He did the right thing by sticking up for his teammate. Sombody needed to teach Nickey a lesson and I'm glad VY did it. Who cares if it was his throwing hand? It wasn't a bad injury at all. VY just reacted, and when you're a righty you would react by throwing a punch with your right hand. The media is criticizing him for that but they would have done the same thing! Young didn't "plan out" what he was going to do... he just reacted and stuck up for his teammate, and that was a smart move by him. I don't care if he slightly hurt his throwing hand. He will be fine.

Good job by Vince Young. Nickey is a punk.

i thought it was pretty cool how Schlereth kept it real and didn't tote the company line PC crap about violence is unacceptable on NFL live. He was like anyone who didn't make into the fight when they watched on film would be fined...thought that was pretty cool and refreshing to see one of these announcers not spoon feed us watered down PC crap on the intensity of the game.

Yeah, a slap that my 6 year old could have delivered except for the fact that, unlike Captain Wonderlic, he's too smart to hit a helmet. That'll teach him!
