Default Crumpler to Titans

I know nothing is automatic, and we have to re-sign Big Albert... also we need a wide receiver badly, but doesn't Crumpler seem like the perfect fix for our redzone TD problems? Also considering what he did for Vick, I think he'd be a great fit for us and his price probably won't be that high. I've got my fingers crossed. I'd love to have him on the team. ... how often do seemingly sensible personnel moves happen in the NFL.

Unless Scaife or Troupe is a FA, I don't see them going for a thrid pass receiving TE.

True. Three top tier TE on one squad is tough. Titans need a reliable guy that can stretch the field and actually catch the ball.

I'm fairly certain Troupe is a free agent and I think maybe one of our other tight ends. It's not our biggest area of need I just think it'd be an awesome pick-up that'd be a nice fit for us. Scaife is cool but he'll be coming off a major injury and besides his chemistry with Vince and a big play here and there he wasn't all that. Regardless no on on our roster is close to Crumpler. Just think it'd be a nice move. I'd imagine he'll be gone in a week or so as long as he doesn't have any lingering injuries.

scaife is really good and it was obvious when they threw the ball to him. When collins was in there scaife was catching passes. Young completely ignores the TE's, it wouldn't matter who was the TE, if the QB ignores them. Crumpler is a mess and can't stay healthy. that would be waste for them.

Scaife, Troupe & Hartsock are free agents. Vince didn't ignore the TE's A) He's just hasn't matured yet at the position and B) He didn't have overwhemingly talented targets. Scaife is nice but much of that is probably his chemistry with Vince from college and he is far from a #1 TE. A lot of players on our roster are overachievers. This year we have multiple FA's at a few positions and it's a fine time to make a fresh start with quality starters instead of a platoons of average players. Crumpler had his injury issues but it's the NFL and he wasn't that much worse than other players. I think it'd be a good signing in addition to bringin Scaife back if the price is right.

crumpler won't play another full season again, scaife is a #1 TE and played better with collins who knew how to get TE's the ball
