Brandon Lloyd caught a short pass from quarterback Todd Collins, then abruptly cut right to burst into open field. He slowed to a jog as he approached the end zone.

It was associate head coach-offense Al Saunders.

"That's the way," Saunders encouraged Lloyd. "That's smooth as silk. Smooth as silk."

Saunders's description of Lloyd's skills is also an appropriate description of Lloyd himself. On the field, Lloyd is so fluid in running routes and catching passes that he sometimes makes it all look easy. Off the field, he is upbeat and seemingly always ready to offer up a smile.

Funny you read last years articles and this guy was getting called out by teamates as being selfish and a jerk....he's good for a great catch a year IMO and that's about it

He's a great WR no doubt, skins are going to have a nasty pass attack next year.

brandon lloyd is a scrub, IMO, and they have all little fast guys and no ballers, that will hurt them overall, IMO

he made a couple nice plays, but a #1 he is not, he is slightly better than lloyd and that is it. On a team that uses the pass as a secondary option with a great #1 in ward, randel el looked a lot better than he will on the skins.
