#1. Big difference between playing in the NFL and Little Valley High School with a Qb that throws the ball 90mph
#2. It's not a broken finger. Its a fractured metacarpal, which are the bones that run from your wrist to your knuckle. Its in the top part of the hand.

TO has not played a full season in the last 5 years but some some of injuries have to do with the way he plays. He 1 of the more physical WR's in the game.
I still think more is being made of this injury then need be. This happens all the time in the NFL to WR's, it's just they are not TO and they don't have the media coverage.
