Yes, yes i know its way too early for this talk and I know that at this point in time it was probably all speculation on the part of the NFL Network, but I am a huuuuuge fan of Byron Leftwich and am torn by these rumors. Obviously this would be a stupid move by the Skins to draft Campbell never give him a shot and than trade for Leftwich (goodbye 1st round draft pick  ) The sensible fan in me says its a dumb move. But Leftwich is one of my favorite players and would love to see him in a Redskins uniform 
Note: if this happened Leftwich would have taken over for Brunell twice on two different teams.

In my opinion, it would be a senseless trade by the Redskins, Jason Campbell needs to be given a shot or it would be a waste of a draft pick

Whatever Danny Boy Snyder does, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if he pulls off a dumb move. After all, he pours in money to sign up big talent, only to see the Redskins finish mediocre and gives up a lot of draft picks just to do that sort of method.

It would surprise me. I mean it was he that got all pissed when the predraft "leak" got out so he must have wanted Campbell pretty bad.

If they do trade for Leftwich, then the Redskins needs to trade Jason to whatever team that Jason could be the starter

you just have to know Gibbs... he WANTED to draft Mark Rypien and Stan Hamphrey's BUT then never wanted to play them... if FA was what is today, Rypien would have never palyed... one of best kept secrects at the time was that there was a deal set in place to trade for Elway -- Reeves and he didnt get along, but the Broncos pulled out in the end...
Campbell could be the next Montana, but it will take as act of God for us to find out...

They got to the playoffs and won last year 
and they didnt sign any big name superstars... everyone says they signed 4 role players to big money, not superstars...
