Ahhh the revolving door roster in Washington.
I wondr if this is salary related and remember this when you're asking "how do the skins sign every free agent each year?" next off season.

I think it has a lot to do with the play of the linebackers other than marshall. Rocky has looked really good, HB Blades has been a tackling machine and K. Campbell has been playing pretty well too.

Exactly. This is pretty simple. Marshall has been something like the 6th best linebacker on the team - maybe. Even against the 2nd and 3rd stringers in preseason, dude has been nowhere to be found. I don't know what kind of money he was making, but the Skins appear to have some solid young talent coming up behind him. Rocky has been EVERYWHERE, and London Fletcher is a machine.
Instead of bashing the Skins for "having a revolving door" (remember, Marshall was drafted by the Skins and was given the starting job), they should be praised for letting a medeocre linebacker walk for the sake of developing young/cheap talent. If this were the Pats, Ravens, Eagles, Chargers, Broncos, etc, everyone would be talking about what smart/savy move it was.

I'd believe that if every single Redskin fan/blogger/sportswriter I've seen wasn't calling this a"head scratcher"

As much as it pains me to admit, this is a good move for the Bengals.
If I was a 4-3 team and needed some LB depth I'd have on it like a hobo on a ham sammich.

If the 'skins were as good as those teams and had their track record then yes, they would get the benefit of the doubt. However, they are the 'skins, known for ****ing up and never doing **** right, that's why they get basked for it.
