Brandon Lloyd: Redskins Interested

Update: The Redskins are exploring available options for acquiring Lloyd, according to a source with knowledge of the situation, but completing such a deal could prove difficult because he is a restricted free agent, the Washington Post reports.

Recommendation: Lloyd has been unable to agree to a long-term deal with the 49ers and is free to negotiate with any team, but he received a one-year qualifying offer from San Francisco that would require a first-round draft pick as compensation should he sign elsewhere. The Redskins do not have a first-round selection in next month's draft, but could work out a package of other assets for the player and sign him to a multiyear contract. Washington has some history in acquiring restricted free agent wide receivers, nabbing Laveraneus Coles from the Jets back in 2003. The team believes there are few elite wide receivers available in unrestricted free agency, and Lloyd may come cheaper than some of the alternatives while possessing more "upside."

No he has received a qualifying offer. If the redskins want him they have to give up a first round pick for him and I don't think anybody would do that.

there is no way he is worth a first round pick, they could get Nate Burleson from the Vikings for a third round pick.

Lloyd shows signs of real talent, but not give up a first round pick talent.

He shows a couple cool catches per year and that's about it IMO, he's a pair of hands and a bad attitude from what I read, and he's accomplished nothing in the league so far. Now mind you he hasnt had anything resembling a QB so I could be wrong.
