Lyle Bauer will be blowing out the candles August 21 and the invitation to his 50th birthday is extended to all Blue Bombers fans.
The President and CEO of the Winnipeg Football Club is inviting one and all to Canad Inns Stadium for the ‘Bauer Blowout' later this month, an event being staged to raise funds toward cancer research. The birthday celebration will offer supporters a grand prize of a trip for two to the 2008 Grey Cup.

"Lyle has given so much of himself to the citizens of Manitoba, his colleagues, family and friends and so we all want to make August 21st a day he will remember forever," said Gene Dunn, vice-chair of the Never Alone Foundation. "We know by working together we can raise funds for the Never Alone Foundation and in keeping with Lyle's philosophy of "Have a great time doing it."
