Buccaneers Bucs’ Tanard Jackson reinstated after one-year suspension

Quote:
After more than a year out of the league, Tanard Jackson is about to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jackson, a safety who was suspended for at least a year for multiple violations of the league’s substance-abuse policy after Week Two of the 2010 season, has been reinstated, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

A 2007 fourth-round draft pick out of Syracuse, Jackson has started every game of his career in Tampa Bay, other than the games when he’s been serving suspensions.

Jackson, who worked out with teammates during the lockout, is believed to be in shape and ready to go, and he should make a significant impact on the Bucs’ defense.
