Big 12 Schools Eye ex-Hog
From what I've read so far, former Razorback WR Damien Williams (freshman transfer) has been contacted by several Big 12 teams including Texas Tech, Missouri, Colorado, and Baylor thus far. IMO, if he wasn't satisfied with the slow transition of offenses from Houston Nutt's to Gul Malzhan, his best bet would probably be Texas Tech.
I think Williams is obviously looking to go to a school that is already third in passing production Nationally, passing for an average of 363.2 yards-per-game. If that's the direction Williams wants to go, let him do it. It takes patience. It is hard to get the ball thrown to you when you have a Heisman candidate running back, Doak Walker Award-winning, All-American at the RB position. Not to mention that the backup has rushed for over 1,000 yards himself. Arkansas will make the transition into more of Gus Malzhan's offense, but this will take more than one year (especially with a freshman and sophomore playing QB). We'll see how this one plays out.
