Default When TCU gets in over Baylor

the Big 12 will need to change their slogan

Its also funny how some of the same people that was so outraged when Bama as a non-conference champ got into title game are all for non-conference champ TCU getting in playoffs over big conference champ Baylor.

And I don't care how the big 12 tries to spin it, when two teams from the same conference finish with the exact same conference record, the head to head winner is the true champ.

LSU was 13-0 going into the MNC game, including a win over Bama.

TCU shouldn't be in the top four, but neither should Baylor. Neither are a championship team.

In your mind, if Baylor or TCU were to beat OSU in the Cotton Bowl, would they then be a championship team seeing how Ohio State won the Big10. Or if in the playoff, Baylor or TCU beats one of those other conference champions, are they then a championship team having beaten another conference champion?

Beating Ohio State with their 3rd string QB wouldn't mean anything. We still have to beat Wisconsin anyways. Too bad we aren't playing Iowa State after having three bye weeks. If the Big 12 had a championship game, or maybe even if they'd grow a set and pick a champion this wouldn't even be a debate. As it stands now, if one of them gets in it should absolutely be Baylor, or why even play the games? TCU jumping FSU is an absolute joke as well.

Ok, so in your mind beating the Big10 champ doesn't mean anything this year. If that is the case, you also must believe Ohio State and Wisconsin should be removed from any consideration for the CFP.

It also sounds like you are trying to dodge my second question. My guess is because you know if TCU or Baylor were to beat one of the other conference champions, you would have to admit they were a championship team. And what if they then went on to also win the actual final championship game, would they then be deemed a champion team in your mind? Aren't you maybe being just a little ridiculous here? The goal of the CFB is to get the 4 best teams, it is not to get 4 conference champions. Would you be railing against Miss State too if they ended up beating Ole Miss and were one of the 4 teams chosen because they would not be conference champions either?

If Ohio State wins, they should get in over anyone in the Big 12 because they won a better conference on the field instead of a tiebreaker. Then again, the Big 12 didn't even do a tiebreaker.

I didn't dodge anything, I just get tired of answering the same nonsensical questions over and over. TCU and Baylor aren't good enough to be in the top four.

It's not only that TCU and Baylor don't play a championship game. They just aren't very good. Neither is even the champion of the weakest conference. If MSU would have beat Ole Miss, I'd absolutely put them in over TCU and Baylor. Don't get your feelings hurt, because at this point I'd put them in over Ohio State too. It didn't happen, so it doesn't matter. You're right. It should be about putting the best four teams in, but apparently that isn't going to happen.

I am more impressed with LSU and A&M than TCU. TCU and Marshall are really the same team in the same situation. Great W/L record because they have a laughable schedule. Give them Arkansas' schedule and 7 wins might not even be possible.
