Source: Felix Jones' extra playing weight a hindrance
Quote:
Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News believes that the added playing weight Cowboys' running back Felix Jones put on in the offseason has been one of the problems with his play this season.
Jones has zero touchdowns this season and seems to have lost his "wiggle", rarely making tacklers miss. The former Razorback added eight pounds of muscle in the offseason in an effort to better sustain early down work and to protect from injury. Jones has not topped 51 yards rushing in any game this season and his lackluster showing has further damaged a running game that has been pretty awful this season with Marion Barber being an even bigger bust than Jones.
Barber will be out against the Colts this weekend and Tashard Choice should get at least a dozen touches.
