Let's see you're pretty tall, got some good weight behind ya. I'd say maybe Defensive End, any of the Linebacker positions. If you like to get really physical then play middle linebacker. Any of the linebackers positions are really physical. I'm only saying these because your 40 is kind of slow. For training, beef up your shoulders, ask your dad or get a personal trainer because I can't really explain the excercises I do. Squats would be a good excercise also, as would be powercleans for the legs. Remember it's all about the legs.

I'd say defensive end and maybe tightend..

You have to get faster just do alot of sprints and squats..

You can play almost any position out there. a 5.70 40 for a 13 is average.A "Fast" 13 Y/O are usually running around 5.1. An Average 40 yard dash for 13 year olds is around 5.6. Which is right about where you are. When my dad coached Pee Wee football the fastest time he came across for 12 year olds was a 5.53. So man whatever you want to play you can. At your height if your team throws more than average you would be a good target at Wide receiver, but if your team rarely throws (which is in most cases for teams at your age) i would say play Linebacker or Strong Safety to get alot of action.

Just some advice, play whatever position you want to. If you find a position you like then go for it and then ask for advice on what kind of training regiment that position should be. A training regime for a LineBacker is different from that of a Nose Tackle.

Like previouly stated, I wouldn't get to caught up in your 40 time at 13. Training in the offseason will get that down once you start playing fulltime. Same with the weights aswell.

With your height I would say tightend, DE, or LB . You will know once you see your team together where the weakest links are t. If it's at linebacker then go for that if it's. You will have to feel it out as you go.

It all depends on your ability... If you've never played football until now I would put you on the line of scrimmage either offense or defense.

Honestly your coach would probably be the best person to determine where you fit in...

Ultimately your work ethic will determine IF you play or not.

Balls out sprints would be the best for gaining speed. Since you're a tall guy and the QB will float it up there you might want to toughen up the abs and you're lats sit ups and then lift up one leg just a little and do sit ups and touch the opposite elbow to your knee without moving your knee. It burns but it helps once you get hit on the side. Other than that, just ask your coach or the trainer for your team.
