Default With Tate gone, Foster or Slaton?

With Tate being put on I.R. are we really going to rely on Foster as the main back with Slaton spelling the guy? I understand that Slaton has a fumbling issue but I would rather be the other way around. I think Foster is way too one-dimensional where as Slaton gives the offense another receiving option and a very quick running option. To be honest I thought for a little bit that Westbrook would be coming in... glad he's with the 49ers.

Your thoughts/opinion.

I still believe that Slaton will bounce back this year.

Steve Slayton can not hang on to the football...period. Until he learns how to do that, he will never be a feature back. I thought Foster did a very good job at the end of the season last year, and he deserves to start from what I've been reading about him in camp this year.
The team has enough options in the passing game that they don't need an every down back to make an impact in the aspect of the game. Slayton will be the 3rd down guy until he learns how to hang on to the football.

I think there's a chance they might look for another back as cuts come. I guess we'll see here soon.

I honestly don't see them going after another back...they still have plenty of depth even with Tate being out for the year. All this means is that Chris Henry will make the team and Jeremiah Johnson probably will also.

Yeah you may be right. We'll see. I bet Henry and Johnson are chomping at the bit for the third spot.
