Eagles Michael Vick = MVP?

He needs to be getting consideration. He's been absolutely incredible this season when just about nobody thought he would be. An unbelievable season, and he's getting better and better by the week. Tonight's performance has never been done in NFL history. I'm so glad he's kicking *** and shutting all the haters up. If he leads the Eagles a division championship, I think he absolutely should be considered for Most Valuable Player.

Hopefully he'll get some money out of the deal. Since he's a dog killer, the endorsement racket prolly ain't gonna happen.

MVP, no. Come beat the Giants this week.. won't be easy. The G-Men are upset after losing to a horrible 1-7 (2-7) team. They'll show up this week and make the Eagles extinct!

But no.

After last nights performance and the win at home over the Colts/refs the week before I'm not sure how you figure the Giants will just roll over the Eagles at home. Do you have anything to back that up other then "they are upset"? There is no other team in the NFC with the momentum that the Eagles have right now. Sunday will be a good game but if the Eagles continue to play like this I say the Eagles take it by 17pts.

I am so glad someone has joined me on this. I have been saying for the past month that Vick is not the Vick you watched 6-7 years ago. So many people on this forum have said that he would go back to his old play (Major Seahawk). Vick is by far the MVP over Peyton Manning. Yes I said it and I mean it over Peyton Manning! Vick was NFC Player of the Month in September, Vick was NFC Offensive Player of the Week last week (after playing the Colts) and wouldn't be surprised if he doesnt get recognized with another award this week. The dude is absolutely playing out of his mind! His percentage thus far is over 60%, he has thrown 0 INT's against really good secondaries....the list goes on and on. Yes his legs has escaped so many sacks for big losses but that is just the nature of the beast. The Philadelphia Eagles need to extend Vick soon! Vick has proven enough this year that he deserves to get paid and he will. But back on topic, Vick does deserve the right to be named the best QB in football right now, I dont care what anybody says he deserves it.

But he really isn't. MVP is about being the most important person on your team. The Eagles can win without Vick because the QB has so many weapons on that team, including two of the better WRs in the league right now. The Colts have half their team injured and are still winning because of Manning. Manning is way more important to the Colts success. The Eagles already won games with their other QB so Vick isn't quite as important.

I'd say the Browns RB should be one of the top people for MVP right now. He has helped turn that team around.

Your not making sense bro or girl (going off your avatar). Vick is the reason we had 2 more TD's last night because of his rushing, Vick used his legs last night to pick up big first downs to keep the clock rolling, used his athleticsm to escape about 5-6 sacks. How is Vick not one of the if not the most important person on our team right now? I get it bro you dont like Vick, but whether you like him or not he is playing MVP football. Vick is 4-1 as an Eagles starter....are you telling me Kolb would have led us to a 59-28 victory last night? No way....plus Vick just beat out the Colts and Manning last week. I dont care if the colts were injured or not I dont want to hear that BS, injuries happen every year and more than likely a team is never 100% healthy as a whole for the entire year. Peyton Manning's play is very good as usual but has his play been better than Vicks? No! Vick is still carrying a passer rating of over 100 after 5 games. IMO the way things stand now Vick is MVP.

I don't know if you know this or not, but it is the LEAGUES MOST VALUABLE PLAYER. Not TEAM MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER. He is the most valuable right now and will be in consideration for the award at the end of the year, if he stays healthy. I for one am happy to see him doing this but I sure don't want the Saints to face him on a night like he had last night. He was just unstoppable. There are a few other QB's who can be unstoppable in the league, Manning, Brady, Brees and Rivers. These are the guys he will be going up against for MVP. If he keeps doing what he is doing then none of these guys will win it over him.

Also, if it was being the most important player on your team then Brees and Manning would win it every year. It has been shown that Cassell can play Brady like if need be. I don't know any other player who is as important to their teams besides Brees and Manning. This is not what the award is for.

after reading this i don't think you comprehend how a MVP of the "league" works
