Chargers How Philip Rivers is dealing with lockout

Quote:
Chargers’ quarterback Philip Rivers told the San Diego Union-Tribune that he is not worried about the length of the lockout yet. Rivers has worked with several teammates since early in the lockout.

“Now if this thing carries on to training camp, it'll be a little weird not having had the offseason but yet be that close to playing a game,” Rivers said. “It's been quite a different offseason, to say the least … We've managed it the best we can. I think it's still early. I've said that a bunch the last few months, but it is still early. But as we get into May and June, football stuff will need to pick up, and we have a plan in place to make that happen.”

Rivers seems to have a good grasp on this situation. He seems to realize the team will need organized coaching soon, but in the meantime he will do his best to lead his team during this awkward time.
