Manningham lands in San Francisco

Quote:

Receiver Mario Manningham spent the first four seasons of his career catching passes from Eli Manning. Manningham could spend the next two catching them from Eli’s big brother.

A league source tells PFT that Manningham has agreed to terms with the 49ers on a two-year deal.

Manningham also had been in negotiations with the Rams.

The moves comes at a time when Peyton Manning is in the final days of selecting his next team. The finalists (for now) are the 49ers, Titans, and Broncos.

Manningham joins a depth chart that includes Michael Crabtree and Randy Moss.

In his final game with the Giants, Manningham caught a 38-yard pass along the sidelines on the first play of the Super Bowl-winning drive.

One hell of a WR roster. Really don't want Peyton to go to there though.

WHAT?? :noway: On paper its better than what they had last year but its certainly not a good WR corps, not even close.

They got Crabtree, their top 10 bust. They lost Morgan who was their best WR. Ted Ginn is a good ST guy but on offense he's pretty invisible. Randy Moss who hasn't played football for a year and was bounced around three different teams in 2010 because he doesn't got it anymore. And Manningham who is a young guy but he's got a long way to go. Sorry but that SB catch of his was so overblown. He didn't run the route correctly, the fact that he caught that ball is because Eli made a perfect and very difficult pass, Eli should be getting the credit for that. And then whoever else they have on their roster. The only good WR they have is Vernon Davis, and he's a TE. LOL
