South Carolina South Carolina OT done for the year because of blood clots

Quote:
Following the loss of running back Marcus Lattimore to a knee injury, South Carolina will go the rest of the season without another one of their offensive players.

This week, coach Steve Spurrier said offensive tackle Kyle Nunn will miss the remainder of the season after being hospitalized with blood clots last week.

“Kyle has all kinds of problems,” Spurrier said. “He actually went in the hospital last week with a potential blood clot in his leg. He’s on blood thinners and he’s out for the year. I don’t think his back requires surgery, but he’s definitely out for the year.

“He’s hoping to maybe get a medical hardship and get a sixth year. We’ll apply for that and see what happens.”

Nunn has recorded 13 starts in his career, and started four games this season for the Gamecocks, but back problems have sidelined the redshirt senior for the past three games.
