I disagree 100% with that argument though. He is a bit shorter, I can't speak for his arm, but he's pretty much a Brees clone... And trust me, offense does a lot. Of all the busts that come out of the QB classes every year, 90% of them have come out of spread offenses. The reasons being exactly what was said by (yuk!) Jon Gruden with reguard to Cam Newton (can't believe I just said that!). They can't take snaps under center, they don't call their own plays, and they aren't familiar with running anything other then a spread offense. The way that the game is today at both the pro and college levels, pro system players get a mix of all kinds of stuff where as spread guys only do spread things... It's a very one dimentional offense, though it can be used in several ways (run first, pass first, balanced) but it always does everything the same way and it also has a way of making players look great, in particular, at the quarterback position... I'd even venture saying that I'd take a run n' shoot guy over a spread guy, if I'm looking for a game manager just because of how everything is laid out... But that's just me, what do I know
While I can't stand the smug Boise crowd, anyone that says that Moore doesn't deserve to be a top 4 prospect is either being a homer OR sandbaging the guy so that they can have a shot at drafting him themselves. (YUK! That's twice now in one post! God Damn I hate making a point sometimes).
