Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Ronde Barber still has not made up his mind regarding his plans for the 2012 season.

Barber, who becomes a free agent next month, hinted in December that his future with the Bucs was linked to then-head coach Raheem Morris' status. Morris now is out and Greg Schiano is in, and Barber remains noncommittal.

"I’m not leaning one way or the other," Barber told The Tampa Times on Saturday night. "I’m not allowing myself to lean one way or the other. I’m pretty sure where I stand, but I haven’t allowed myself to commit."

Barber has played all 15 years of his NFL career in Tampa, Fla., and said he'll have a meeting with the Bucs' front office like he did last year during which the two sides will determine where Barber fits in the team's plans.

Barber told the Times that he recently met Schiano, who was hired away from Rutgers University on Jan. 26.

"He seems like a very convicted guy,” Barber said. "I think that's what we were looking for with the hire. . . He seems like he has a plan from the little bit I talked him. I imagine, once he gets his staff assembled, he’ll get going pretty quickly."
